Enjoyed hearing you read this today, Kymm! Witty and wise, the poem is, especially, "Recite each poem in the voice of a blackbird. Learn to speak with your beak. Less tongue." :)
So enjoyed hearing you read this yesterday, Kymm - but it needed savouring as words on a page too! It is witty and clever and inventive and I imagine any poet would be lucky to have you as their translator...
I so enjoyed your participation at dVerse and I really love the notes on translation. I only know Swedish apart from English but I do not write poetry in Swedish.... I find that there is often some thing lost in translation.
"Truth was the enemy of the people, because the truth was so terrible, so Bokonon made it his business to provide the people with better and better lies."
-Kurt Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle
Good to hear you read your poem this morning at dVerse LIVE. Very lively and clever poem.
